Established in 1983, the Doddington and Rollo Community Association is a charitable organisation dedicated to fostering opportunities for education, training, and employment, while also providing essential facilities for recreation and community engagement. Over the years, the association has transitioned from relying heavily on grants to achieving financial self-sufficiency for its day-to-day operations, ensuring stability and enabling strategic planning for the future without the looming threat of funding cuts. In pursuit of its mission, DRCA offers a range of facilities that cater to the diverse needs of the community: A bustling business centre equipped with workshop units, serving as a vibrant hub for small enterprises to thrive. These units are available for letting to a wide array of businesses, fostering local entrepreneurship, skill development, and economic growth.
"Really fantastic sessions, the opportunity to practice yoga and to join in the community on the estate is an enormously enriching social and physical event." "I feel very privileged to be able to attend these brilliant yoga sessions. They make me feel alive and energised and fitter, physically and mentally. It's also great to meet other people who live locally and build a friend circle.”
"The DRCA is more than just a Community Association; it's a vibrant hub of local recreation and activities. With two welcoming halls and a commitment to inclusivity, it fosters a genuine sense of community. From wellbeing programmes to lunch clubs, it offers something for everyone. I highly recommend The DRCA to anyone seeking connection and belonging in their neighbourhood."
